Fossil mammoth tusk tip 3 pounds. Free standing 7 inches tall, 4 inches across. Very tip cut, otherwise this would be worth much more. Marginal for most carving users has some delamination of growth layers as is common. Nice however for showing age growth rings. Left not polished all natural as it comes out of the ground. Potentially could sand a window for scrimshaw. This is from the Tanana River interior Alaska about 30,000 years ago, during last ice age. Area carbon dated.
