Blank knife blade hunter engraved
Blank blade industrial hacksaw HST (high speed tool) steel ( A D2 with carbide) hunter skinner design 2.9 ounces. Overall 7 inches. Blade 3 3/4 , 1/16th thick. Double temper Rockwell 59 hardness. Acid etch one sided is a lynx head other side flying goose and flowers. Copper forged into steel. Animal tracks stamped in. Very one of a kind blade with lots of work done to it. Steel is special from 21 inch industrial hacksaw not sold to the public used during other Alaska pipeline days to cut 8 inch stainless pipe. Custom made for the pipeline in the 1980's not made any more. This knife can cut through barb wire,( I cut a 4inch nail as a test) other steel without chipping (as an emergency survival knife) Handle a little shorter than some knives for a more hidden or out of the way knife. This steel cannot be drilled, so I put handle holes in with a torch. Handle outline a tad rough, needs a final tune. (when handle goes on maybe) Sharp functional could use a better polish on blade if you wish, or leave as is for more functional knife you would get dirty anyhow. Possibly only a diamond will sharpen this. I used a silicone belt sander but hard to do by hand. This is a rare steel to get hold of. Got given to me by former pipeline worker. On Ebay found one used blade, $180. Just for the raw blade, no knife made. I got free so passing savings along.

meteorite slice 9.5 oz
Slice of meteorite Seymchan 9.5 ounces. 5 x 2.5 x 1/16th inches. I had in mind, knife blades but for any meteorite needs. Seymchan is good for knives and jewelry high end lot of nickel tends no to rust hs 'space dust' which includes micro diamonds that sparkle. Has very good patterning, interesting inclusions that do not weaken it. No major cracks. Used some of this for my own knives, worked well. Found in Russia 1967. Older than the planet earth. Rare hard to get. Nice even cut.
meteorite block 2.4 pounds
Meteorite block huge 2.4 pounds. Triangle is 6 x 3 x 1 and 1/2 inch thick. Seymchan from Russia found in 1967 known to not rust, good for knives and jewelry. Older then the planet earth. Has 'space dust,' including sparkly micro diamonds. I had for making knife blades but have not had time so passing this on, from my old inventory. $400 off the usual asking price by weight and keep in mind such large pieces are hard to find. I use a diamond saw to cut this but can be cut on any saw you'd cut knife steel (If you are a knife maker like me) I've used his for my own knives in the past and works well. An uneven thickness cut b cut one good flat side to work from. Or cut the other direction and go for 1 inch wide tapered like pocket knife blades or necklaces. This can make, geez a hundred pendants.
blank knife blade meteorite
Knife blade blank meteorite with 1095 steel edge. 2,1 oz. overall 6 inches, blade 3 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. Seymchan found in Russian 1967, a good knife making meteorite with good patterning. Meteorite does not make a good functional knife, to much nickel and to brittle. They usually just look nice. I weld a good knife 1095 steel to the edge for a functional knife. Cannot overheat the meteorite or patterning goes away so I use copper at 200 degrees cooler. Holds up fine, been testing these blades. Mostly finished hard sharp ready to use. You can shine it up more if you like. Keep in mind it is best not to have to re-etch the meteorite it's tricky. Since I have copper in it. there are secrets to etching. Very unique blade no one I know uses copper in steel. It's taken 20 years to perfect how to do this. Keep in mind on the price, raw meteorite is spendy. This was an over $100 raw slice to begin with. You should have a $700 plus value finished knife when done.
