Book 7 in the Wild series by Miles. Up until now, all my life I have tried to be as open and honest as possible. Believing morals and ethics is behind 'laws.' As time and civilized views change, I find the truth does not set us free. I am arrested, do jail time and am a felon now. Much has been building up to 'issues' in previous books. Here are some prison stories and how the system works as seen from the inside. It is hard to change who I am, but I can change how I am perceived, and some of my behavior. Said carefully as we may not have freedom of speech to the extent I once believed, nor are we free to live our lives as we choose as long as we do not bother others. I have different kind of adventures, as a free man used to the space of the wilds is put in a cage. Someone not used to being around others put in an overcrowded cell. I do ok, and 'survival' is about adapting, taking things in stride, finding meaning and all that happens. I get assigned to the prison garden, take some classes, stay out of trouble, do my time and record it. I had to change the name of the prison inmates and all the guards in order to be allowed to continue writing.
