Fossil mammoth ivory set 2.41 ounces. 4 x 1 x ¼ inches. Very nice rich dark blues. Color is thin layer. Could be sanded down gently to softer blues #1 for colors, however this ‘bark,’ was thin, so backed it -laminated to exotic wood. It looks nice, offers a nice flat back support for the ivory. Spacer material is often used in projects. Back could be sanded down to all ivory and 1/16th inches. However people are simply not used to 'laminated,' and sold by weight, wood is not worth as much so a much lower price than if all solid ivory. A good choice for someone who wants the very best look at a lower price .
