Fossil mammoth ivory piece rough low price
Raw mammoth ivory rough piece for making knife scales (or other projects). approx. 6 x 2 inches, ¼ thick. Uniform thickness stabilized and dyed. Rough usually desired outer texture This is a good way to create high end knife scales at the best price. Easy to sand flat cut out your pattern for half the price as a squared up rough polished set. This is the same in my personal box to use material for my own work put on $500 knives. If this works for you I offer this ‘by the pound.’ I select what can be used for knife scales at a much lower price then hand select describing taking pictures etc. Most will be stabilized. I stabilize 50 pounds or so of scraps, then match up the pieces, set aside to make scales with later. Link to my ‘by the pound.’ If this works for you get this cheaper a pound at a time, I do my best to select what can make knife scales. Thus by the pound not by the select piece. This should make more than one set worth total $100 finished See pic by red ruler of how this material looks worked up
