Fossil mammoth slice tooth set 7.1 oz. 4 ½ x 2 x ¼ inches. Stabilized and dyed (required as this is a fragile material. Hard, takes nice shine. I use diamond tools top cut but bandsaw works, it just may wear out my $14 blade working one set. Extremely beautify and desired but fragil, hard to work. Wants to break along soft growth lines… backing helps a lot … thin silver, micarta maybe veneer wood. If it breaks, somewhat easy to superglue and no show. Or, once on the knife it is fine. Can be used for inlay pendants etc.
