Fossil mammoth ivory chunk 10.7 ounces. 12 x 3 x ¼ inches. Ideal for large scrimshaw work. But great for knife scales. Back can be worked off easily to a uniform ¼ inches. Somewhat even width flat , no major cracks should make at least 3 large knife scale sets. For scrim it is hard will take a nice shine not hard to sand down to more white. Has some nice character. Save a lot of money if you make knife scales yourself from the raw like this.
