I make all the artwork you see. I find and cut most of my stones. I gather wood along the river, collect stabilize cut fossils. I began in 1970, and worked by hand without electricity in the wilderness for 20 years. Many of the hand tool skills helped me when I got a home with electric in Nenana. I learned on my own beginning with repairs of homestead tools. I learned what materials combine well. I have my own ways to fit stones into settings. My theme is always outdoor wildlife, rarely people or civilized subjects. Sometimes abstract for those who want 'modern.' Cutting edge innovation is used to mix media. All are one of a kind hand done no patters no repeated designs. I make many of my own beds by hand.
I do my own lost wax carving, usually carving the original and making my own molds. Metals are recycled. Bronze is from barge propellers that went up and down the Yukon River. Copper is 1920's village water pipes that get dug up.
